Lately my EOTD’s seem to be few and far-between. I blame work – my office environment just isn’t fun-makeup-friendly, so it’s rare that I get to come up with fun new eye looks for you. I was feeling up for a little color this past weekend though so broke out some eyeshadows that have been feeling sorely neglected.
More photos and a mini tutorial after the jump!
- Apply an intensely pigmented purple shadow like Pure Luxe shadow in Grape all over the inner 2/3 of your eye, starting at your inner eye and working outwards. Grape is a serious stunner and has some amazing pigmentation to it – it’s a definite favorite of mine.
- Pick up a shimmery white shade (I used Smink’s Winterton) on a bbrush with a pointed narrow tip and sweep it along the inner third of your eye, over your purple. Blend well!
- Apply MAC Smoke & Diamonds to your outer V and blend with the purple for a nice seamless finish.
- Top with mascara – I used my Jill Stuart here, which I’ve been meaning to review for you for ages. It holds a pretty amazing curl, doesn’t it?
This look was so vivid and fun in person ~ I really need to remember to check out more Pure Luxe products as they’ve really been impressing me so far. What fun looks have you been experimenting with over the past few weeks?

Love it. It combines two of my favorite things: purple and Smoke & Diamonds.

Deb Smoke & Diamonds somehow ends up in 90% of my eye looks. And I just remembered that I have Illegal Cargo stashed away somewhere – I really must dig that out as it's one of my favorite MAC shades.

Lynn I hadn't seen that although I'm not too surprised considering all the mineral repackaging hubbub that's been going on lately. I have been watching to check out TKB Trading though as Tala's been suggesting their products to me forever!

Ezzie it has that same delicious fruity smell her other products have, and of course the same gorgeous packaging.

Thanks Tali! It was a lot of fun, although my mother told me it looked as though someone had punched me in the face =P.

Awwww thank you Janine! My readers are a large part of why I do these fun EOTD's – I know (or at least I hope) they'll enjoy them as much as I do.

Yeeah I wouldn't touch Pure Luxe with a barge pole after seeing that comment (I'm sorry, she believes there's a mineral make-up police?) and– well, that looks very similar to TKB's Grape. Still! It's a really pretty EOTD, and it's nice to see you wearing something so bright. More brights Jen, more more~!

Ana I must admit it was pretty nasty. I plan to stick to TKB from this point forward – I'd rather go to the source for my products.

LOL thanks PixyEla! She's really not a fan of non-natural looking makeup so she's usually pretty appalled by the brighter looks.
