Lancome’s Fall 2008 collection: inspired by the earth-tones of India.

I’m loving the rich jewel-tones of this collection and the lushness of it all.

Poudre Elephant Teint Bronzer Powder: $36.50 (less expensive than I expected!)
This bronzer is the star of the collection in my humble opinion. I’m not much of a bronzer user, but the design on the compact is just beautiful, making this a must-have for any serious Lancome collectors.

Color Design Quads in Secrets of Benghal and Lotus Splendor: $40
These color combinations aren’t wowing me, plus I’m not loving the packaging.

Also launched with this collection was a new primer, La Base Pro ($42). While the last thing I need right now is another primer, this descriptions sounds interesting:

“Exclusive Lancôme Elasto-Smooth™ technology refines skin’s texture and diffuses light to visibly reduce imperfections with a satin-soft finish. Makeup glides on seamlessly. Color stays more true and vibrant for a radiant, air-brushed look all day.”

I’ve never tried a primer that really delivered on any of its promises, so if La Base Pro is even half as good as it sounds, sign me up!

What do you think of Lancome’s newest release?
