ABS Wants: Flip MinoHD

November 2, 2009

Now that I’ve finally got my own A Beautyful Sentiment YouTube channel, I’ve been telling myself that I finally have an excuse to buy myself a Flip MinoHD which I’ve actually had on my wishlist for the longest time.

They come in the cutest patterns and you can even make your own designs to upload onto the site. Check out some of my personal favorites down below!

I’m DYING to get my hands on one of these cuties but sadly at around $230 they’re a little out of my budget at the moment. I do hope to scrounge together the pennies and save up for one of these so that I can bring you some great HD YouTube videos at some point though!

Tsumori Chisato for Shu Uemura – Quite Possibly the Cutest Makeup Collection There Ever Was!

October 22, 2009

Japanese fashion designer Tsumori Chisato collaborated with Shu Uemura to bring us a ridiculously cute collection of cosmetics and accessories that I guarantee you’ll be hard-pressed to resist. Inspiration for the collection from “The Little Prince” and the cosmos and the collection’s packaging definitely reflects this with its plethora of glitter, shimmer, stars and playful renderings of cats.

See more photos and check out collection details and pricing after the jump!

The Tsumori Chisato for Shu Uemura collection includes:

I want it all but since I’m trying to be a little more responsible about my beauty spending, I may just go for the Rouge Unlimited lipstick in Jupitor Brown. I’m not entirely crazy about the shade (anything that has the word brown in it is generally a no-no for me) but I’m gaga over the cute packaging!

What will you be picking up from the collection?

ABS Wants: Lipstick Queen ‘Fame’ 5-piece Pop Art Lipgloss Collection

October 20, 2009
Lipstick Queen Five Minutes of Fame Pop Art Gloss Set ($55 value for $25.56)

Lipstick Queen creator Poppy King recently released a range of Fifteen Minutes of Fame Pop Art Glosses meant to embody each minute of the fifteen minutes of fame Andy Warhol believed each individual would have in the future. These glosses are clear, bright, unadulterated color sans shimmer or glimmer.

QVC’s set brings us five of these minutes at what I think is a bargain price:

  • 0.04 oz gloss in 3 Minutes, an apricot pink
  • 0.04 oz gloss in 5 Minutes, a pale peach
  • 0.04 oz gloss in 11 Minutes, a vibrant purple
  • 0.04 oz gloss in 12 Minutes, a deep rose
  • 0.04 oz gloss in 13 Minutes, a raspberry hue

This set is currently topping my wishlist – my lips definitely want their 15 minutes of fame!

Introducing Lancôme Oscillation PowerFoundation SPF 21

October 15, 2009

Lancome’s latest Oscillation PowerFoundation is just one of those products that makes me go “hmmmm…..seriously?!” ~ it’s not that it seems like a particularly bad idea, it’s more that I’m wondering who the heck thought that the world needed a vibrating foundation! Which isn’t to say that I’m not dying to to pick myself up this $48 vibrating mineral foundation that promises to revitalize and smooth my skin.

So who wants to see a review of this? Because if my public demands it, you know I have no choice but to get it! In the meantime, you’ll have to make do with this HSN presentation of the foundation. Surprisingly it looks promising, although looking at this product, some of my Oscillation Mascara disappointment is coming back to me.

Wishing For Smashbox’s ‘Eye Wish’ Palette

October 8, 2009

Smashbox’s ‘Eye Wish’ Palette

Not only is does it contain a fabulous array of gorgeous shadows and liners, but you can also feel great about your purchase as $1 (up to $25,000) from each purchase will go to the Children’s Miracle Network, a nonprofit that provides care to and invests in lifesavings research for millions of sick or injured kids.

‘Eye Wish’ contains 12 vibrant shadows, 4 creamy liners and a mini Photo Finish Lid Primer, plus an exclusive Look Book containing step-by-step directions for 13 holiday party appropriate looks.

ABS Wants: Ed Hardy Color Kits

October 8, 2009

Ed Hardy’s new ‘Love Kills Slowly’
(top) and ‘Geisha’ (bottom) kits ($55 each) are you basic look in a box type of thing, with the fun addition of Ed Hardy’s Eau de Parfum Solid and the Love & Luck Eau de Parfum Solid. It’s conveniently packaged with all the brushes you need and contains lipstick, gloss, shadow and bronzer plus some cute brushes from the looks of things.

My favorite part? The ‘stage-makeup lights’ running along the two outer flaps. Rather useless but pretty cute!

Dior Cristal Boreal for Holiday 2009

October 7, 2009

Dior Cristal Boreal ($80)
Dress Up and dazzle for the holidays with Dior’s own legendary jewel designs. The greatest star of all, this gleaming pendant necklace inspired by the “Crystale Boreale,” a legendary Swarovski crystal-studded pendant designed for Christian Dior in 1955. Influenced by the ornate, corseted gowns and decorative broaches of the 18th Century Louis XVI style and inspired by the delicate light-reflecting qualities of crystal, each product in this exquisite color collection is like a tiny jewel. Featuring shades of petal pink, deep silver and a wide range of purples to create a luxurious and festive look for holiday.

I always look forward to Dior’s gorgeous holiday beauty releases that come in jewelry-form, but this revered fashion house has really outdone itself for Holiday 2009 with this Dior Cristal Boreal, a stunning rendition of an 18th-century influenced piece comprised of four aurora boreas crystals and a smattering of 48 additional Swarovskis. Housed within is a crystal-effect gloss in shade Pink Crystal. This is going onto my holiday wishlist, alhtough at $80 it’s probably not something I’ll end up with.

There’s a New Lancome Deluxe Brush Set In Town

October 4, 2009

Lancome’s ‘Declaring Indigo’ Nordstrom Exclusive 5 Piece Brush Set was a huge hit when it launched, and it looks as though Lancome has decided to capitalize on that success during the holidays by brinigng us this lovely purple-hued Deluxe Brush Set for the holidays.

At $59 it’s $7 more than the original Declaring Indigo set, but it does include one more brush and comes in an elegant bejeweled brush roll ~ plus it’s a $160 value! So what exactly does your $59 get you?

  • Foundation Brush #2 -The must-have brush for flawlessly applying any foundation.
  • Powder Brush #1 – The pro for sheer, smooth, naturally flawless powder application.
  • Precision Shadow Brush #12 – The ideal partner for all Lancome eye shadows.
  • Dual Ended Brush #18 – At one end: the flat, fine edge brush precisely applies shadow, wet or dry, to create a sharp eye lining result. At the other end: the shadow brush.
  • Blending Shadow Brush #17 – For the most precise eye shadow application. It allows you to smudge shades into eye corners for the smokiest looks.

Check out my review of the Declaring Indigo set to see reviews of all the brushes except for the #12 Precision Shadow Brush. If you’ve been on the hunt for a decently affordable set of travel brushes, there are a fantastic option as they’re really a great deal at $59 and the quality is really pretty amazing. Or pick up a set as a holiday gift ~ I know I’d love to find one waiting for me under the tree come Christmas morning!
