Majolica Majorca Majolook Palette in BR762

I couldn’t wait to dip my greedy little fingers into it! Usually I’m so good about not using products before taking photos 😦

Close up shot of the shadows-aren’t they gorgeous?

This is another one of the amazing goodies that I received from Taryn! I honestly didn’t think much of this Majolook palette upon first receiving it since I’m sure I’ve stated a million times before that I’m not a fan of neutrals at all, but I was definitely proven wrong. The BR762 palette consists of a silvery/white strip of cream highlighter/base (not sure which) across the top, a golden champagne shade, a golden olive green shade (very similar to MAC’s Golden Olive pigment-see a swatch here and an ETOD using it here), and a darker khaki green/bronze shade.

First of all, the consistency of these shadows is absolutely to-die-for! The powder is very finely milled, so that when you swipe your finger across the surface it feels more like a cream than a powder. As you can see in the swatches below, the shadows have a good amount of shimmer to them and are very pigmented-which means love for me!

Left to Right: White/silver highlighter (at the top of the palette), soft golden champagne, golden olive green, khaki bronzey green

And no I didn’t accidentally post two sets of swatches! I just wanted you to see how the eyeshadows look under different lighting conditions.

While I adore this palette, the highlighting strip on top definitely hasn’t wowed me. It’s a little too white/opaque and therefore looks a little odd as a highlighter, plus I was rather disappointed by the fact that the lovely swirly pattern on the surface swipes right off.

Now my only worry is that the palette’s kinda small, meaning once this shimmery goodness might go quickly!

I’m wearing the golden shadow on my inner corners, the golden olive across the majority of my eyelid, and the darkest khaki shade along the outer corners. It’s a bit messy because I was in a rush, but it should give you a general idea of what the shadows look like on.
