Tarina Tarantino Mini Haul

March 10, 2010
You all all know that I’m a huge sucker for anything and everything pink, so when the Sephora-exclusive Tarina Tarantino line launched at Sephora a few weeks back I had to haul an item or two to review for the blog.  I swatched away at the store, and while I wasn’t too wowed by the liners (smudgy) and shadows (a little boring), I did happen to fall in love with the TARINA TARANTINO Pearl Glow Primer ($32), a quick-to-absorb, lightweight primer that contains actual pearl powder to give your complexion a luminscent glow, and the TARINA TARANTINO Dollskin Cheek Feather ($25).  The Dollskin Cheek blushes were all beautifully pigmented, finely milled powders that for me were the stars of the line, along with the primer.
More photos after the jump!

If you’ve already got a Tarina Tarantino counter near you (and you’ve seen the Sephora employees dressed up in horrible hot pink wigs that look nothing like the glorious one featured on the model above) definitely run to check out the line.  I’m seriously tempted to go back for the Dollskin blushes in Charm and Parasol (the shimmer is multi-dimensional and really lust-worthy) and to maybe get a backup of the primer I love it so much.  I’ll be reviewing both for you soon!

Omfg, I really want Tarina Tarantino stuff. Not because I think it will actually be good, but just because I've seen it posted EVERYWHERE, and it really makes me want to get my hands on it. ARRGH!

  2. Cheri the liners and shadows were a no-go for me, but the lipsticks were decent (I tried a few and didn't really find a shade I loved though) – the primer and the blushes are pretty awesome though! I'd definitely recommend checking them out if you're feeling the need to indulge in some Tarina Tarantino :).

  3. Tammy Says:

    This blush looks amazing!!

  4. Irene Says:

Aahhhhh I LOVE this line πŸ™‚ (I did a review of the PARASOL blush on my blog if you want to check out how the look) PLUS I am always a sucker for the pretty packaging and well – anything pink for that matter. I was curious about this color as well – would love to see it on you! πŸ˜€ How did you like the pearl glow primer? The MA said that it was one of the most unique parts of the line.

  5. Deb Says:

Nice little haul. Did you check out the eyeshadows? I am curious about the texture of the shadows. The description on Sephora's site made them sound really soft and creamy.

  6. Deb Says:

Oops! I just realized you mentioned the shadows in your response to Cheri.

  7. Celine Says:

Haha pink wigs!? I haven't seen that at the Sephora here! That's… terrible? Awesome??? I can't decide.

  8. Catherine Says:

I just got Parasol and I love it! You definitely need it too if you like peachy coral pinks – it's everything I wanted NARS Orgasm to be without the frost bomb!

  9. Tammy it is – I keep trying to force myself to use my other blushes and to rotate, but right now I'm a little obsessed.

  10. Irene I loved Parasol so much when I was swatching – it's definitely next on my list of shades to buy.The pearl primer is fantastic – not so much for controlling the oilies, but for creating a luminiscent glow and making your foundation look all-around amazing. Love it!

  11. Deb I was expecting soft and creamy, but I thought they were a little chalkier than I would've liked and not as pigmented as I was hoping. I wasn't impressed.

  12. No worries Deb, I'm always happy to answer questions! πŸ™‚

  13. Celine so I think the pink wigs in the promo shots are awesome, but the way the Sephora MA's were wearing them it was all just a little sad and really odd looking.

  14. Catherine you've clinched it – I'll definitely be picking Parasol up sometime within the next week. I was trying to resist, but just can't anymore!

  15. i saw this at Sephora and was immediately attracted to the blushes. my fav colour is Parasol, it's a gorgeous coral colour but all of their blushes are very pretty! makes me want to get them all LOL :Pxx

  16. Not a huge fan of pink but this one is totally making me rethink things. Thanks!

  17. Anita I love that one too – definitely next on my list of Tarina Tarantino blushes to buy!

  18. All Women Stalker this one's a more peachy shade – they do make some beautiful pinks though!
